We are certainly under no illusions that this journey will be a straightforward one. Our vision of changing primary healthcare as we know it is an ambitious one, and will not be without its challenges. Nevertheless, there are numerous factors that we believe will be critical to our success:

1. Completing the Full Wellness Circle 

While there are other ventures that have tackled tele-health in various ways, few, if any, address the Full Wellness Circle. This establishes us as a market leader, rather than a me-too provider, giving us a distinct marketing edge. By providing an end-to-end solution that saves patients time, money and effort with technology that they are already reliant upon, we will provide a powerful case for them to buy into the concept. 

2. Improved Patient Care

It is no secret that GPs and patients all experience frustration with the current overloaded system. The pressure of a waiting room filled with patients makes it extraordinarily difficult for doctors to provide each with the level of attention and care that he or she deserves. Patients, for their part, can often feel like cattle being herded through the process as quickly as possible. With GPNow, we will be able to significantly increase the number of patients that doctors can care for in a given period from an average of 3 patients cared for per hour up to approximately 10 patients without compromising quality. This will relieve stress on practitioners and deliver a more personal, pleasant and efficient experience for the patient that can be enjoyed from the comfort of familiar surroundings. 

3. Digital Connectivity

We live in a society that has seen greater change in a shorter period than any before. Digital technology is one of the chief catalysts of this change; impacting and enriching our lives in countless, hitherto unimagined ways. For most of us, technology is not just something that we are comfortable using. For a growing proportion of society, it is the preferred medium for interacting and transacting. We aim to tap into this strong affinity for digital technology in a way that has not been attempted on this scale before, making us a leader in the field.

GPNow will not only be a convenient tool but one that people will love to use for the outstanding user-experience that it delivers. Just as the number of people that would never dream of hailing another taxi again is growing exponentially, we see the potential of GPNow to redefine the status quo of patient-doctor relationships.

4. Marketing Focus

There is no shortage of brilliant ideas that ended on the digital scrapheap for lack of traction. The most common reason for this is a lack of adequate marketing and subsequent failure to get the message across. We understand that buy-in from patients and GPs will ultimately decide the success of this project or otherwise. For this reason, we are committing $10 to marketing for every $1 expended on development. In this way, we can ensure that the GPNow message of improved patient care will be communicated effectively to all key stakeholders as we work tirelessly to produce a brilliant tool that will deliver on those promises.

5. Speed

Our aggressive expansion plan will provide us with the momentum, agility and flexibility to build a viable foundation without burning through our finite start-up capital. This expansion will be supported by a rapid technology development program in which as each new release comes to market, the next is already in development. The feedback and learning from each new version will be fed back into the development process so that the Build-Measure-Learn loop will be in constant cycle. By implementing the lessons learned with speed and agility, we can refine our product offering to meet the needs of the market and respond to problems within a short timeframe.
